People in the UK are becoming more aware of wines from all over the world. As a wine provider, we believe that we are playing a valuable role in helping people to discover the world of wine.
The accessibility of wine has increased vastly in recent years, with supermarkets and high street chains stocking an impressive selection of wines from all over the world; particularly prevalent are New World wines (Australia, Chile, South Africa etc.).
While these outlets are stocking some great, award-winning wines, what the customer gets is still largely dependent on today's consumer markets; supermarkets and chains are 'power-buyers', and can only really select wines that are viable 'unit-shifters' (i.e. the intention is to sell vast quantities of wine which means that the producer must be able to produce the wine in vast quantities).
