Your purchase of a product or service from Bettapages is governed by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. Placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale and our terms for use of this site. If you do not agree to these terms, please leave the site and do not proceed further with your order. BETTAPAGES reserves the right to make changes to this website and these terms and conditions of sale and our terms of use at any time, without notice.

Cancelling Your Order For a Service
If you wish to cancel your order we will refund you in full providing we receive confirmation of your decision to cancel by email or telephone before any work is commenced. Hosting services have a 30 day money back guarantee. We reserve the right to refuse hosting services at any time.

Site files and databases
If you purchase one of out hosting packages Bettapages cannot be responsible for any data loss. It is your responsibility to make regular backups of your site files, emails and databases.

Cancelling Your Order For a Download
Downloadable products are non refundable. If you have a problem or issue with any software or module please contact us within 24 hours of purchase.

Bettapages reserves the right to refuse service, to close accounts, to cancel orders, or to terminate affiliate and other marketing programs that it deems harmful to the company.

Please find detailed below our terms and conditions for a Web Site Hosting service (the "Service") between Bettapages and the Customer. The Customer being the person(s) or business that pays for the "Service". Bettapages agrees to provide, the "Service" on the terms and conditions set out below. Please note that by purchasing our services and continuing to use them, you are agreeing to adhere to our terms and conditions below:

Please note that these are the terms for our Website Hosting plans only.

Renewal Payments

To renew your hosting plan your payment must be on or before the expiry date of the package. Failure to make this payment on or before the expiry date could result in suspension of your account and a possible reactivation fee. If you wish to move your domain to another reigistrar a fee of £12.00 will be applicable.

1.) Bettapages take no responsibility for any information loaded to our customers accounts or web sites. If it is brought to our attention, and we deem the material to be inappropriate, we will suspend the customer’s service on accounts or web sites, until any illegal or inappropriate data is removed.

2.) The customer will fully indemnify Bettapages against liability (of any nature), which may befall Bettapages as a result of the customers illegal use of our services.

3.) Refunds are only available, if the level of service provided to the customer by Bettapages, is determined unsatisfactory by the staff of Bettapages. No refunds are available if the customer wishes to cancel their account for any other reason. An administration fee of £10.00 may become due to cover bank administration and credit card charges.

Please note that any technical issues or problems that arise must be brought to Bettapages’ attention immediately. Bettapages must be permitted to use all reasonable efforts to rectify problems before a refund can be claimed.

4.) Customers shall not provide copyrighted materials without authorisation, provide obscene or offensive material (e.g. pornographic), provide material whose nature and/or volume compromises the ability of Bettapages' servers to serve other customers’ web sites (instances including but not limited to unreasonable consumption of disk space, Internet link bandwidth, CPU, and memory usage, as determined by Bettapages' staff), provide materials that are deemed by the government authorities as inappropriate or illegal. Any such government determinations will be binding on the customer, not Bettapages.

5.) If you purchase a UK hosting plan with a free UK domain name, you are only able to use that domain name with that hosting plan.. If you require to use any other domain name with the hosting, then a fee of £20 is applied to make the necessary changes to assign the existing domain name with the new hosting space.

6.) Free domain renewal: Bettapages will renew at our cost for the minimum renewal period any domain name provided that the domain is assigned to a paid-up web hosting package as the “main domain” and that we receive an email request from you the customer to (which we must acknowledge) within four weeks of the domain renewal date. If such a request is not received we will take no action to renew the domain and it will become suspended, rendering all email and web services inoperational. If it remains unpaid it will become de-registered and may be registered to any other party. The customer will ensure they are listed as administrative email contact of the domain to receive renewal reminders from the registrar. Our customers are solely and ultimately responsible for making sure their domains are renewed.

7.) Bettapages may not wish to host web sites, including but not limited to the following content, adult, games, mobile phone tones or logos, computer games, celebrities, warez, web sites owned by any customer under 18 years of age, sites with webcams or video content.

8.) Spamming or any type of unsolicited commercial or non-commercial email, is strictly prohibited, and your account may be suspended if you are found to be doing so.

If your email address is receiving abnormal amounts of email from one host, then your server will block the sending server as a security precaution against receiving spam and slowing the services down for other users. This is an automatic procedure that is in place by the Cpanel system.

9.) Monthly bandwidth allowance is stated as unmetered. However, if we feel that a customer is using excessive amounts of bandwidth, and is affecting the service we provide to our other customers, then we reserve the right to cancel their hosting package and offer them a full refund less any domain name registration fees. Any sites running mySQL bulletin boards, message forums or Chat services are limited to 3Gb of bandwidth per month. Additional bandwidth fees may be applied.

10.) Bandwidth limits are put in place to make sure that our customers do not breach our terms and conditions. Within your cpanel you can enter an email address to advise you when your site is nearing its bandwidth. Please email when this email is received and providing the site stays within our terms and conditions we will increase the bandwidth. Please note that if your website exceeds a limit of 50GB, then we would ask you to upgrade to a power hosting plan as your website would have outgrown the services that can be provided by a shared hosting solution.

11.) All disk space that is provided to Bettapages hosting customers, must have only files that are used within the website. The server space cannot be used for file storage, online email imap accounts, or file sharing in anyway. If your account is found to be participting in any of the above, then it will be suspended without warning and additional charges may be applied. Online email storage is limited to 3GB.

12.) Domain name only purchases are for registration only. Email and web forwarding are free services and are not part of the contract that you purchase when you buy a domain name. Bettapages cannot be held responsible for redirection failures if the recipient mailservers will not accept email from our servers.

Please note that you only have a 12 hour grace period when purchasing domain names. If you require either a refund of a change in the domain name, you will need to make us aware within this time period otherwise no refunds or changes can be made.

13.) It is advisable, that if you want to use forums on your web site, you use a php/mysql solution, there are many free forum programs that can installed. Perl or CGI forums are slow and inefficient. If Bettapages deems necessary, the customer can be asked to remove their forums or asked to switch to a php/mysql solution.

14.) Spam email is one of the major scourges of the Internet and is something we spend lots of time and money on trying to fight for our customers, but is something we cannot stop. We have spam blockers running constantly on our email servers, but due to the fact that spammers constantly change the format of emails, it is impossible for all emails to be blocked.

Anti spam filters run on all of our hosting plans. With our Commerce plan or above you also have the added facility of Spam Assassin, which allows you to greatly help reduce the amount of spam that you receive.

15.) Multimedia file types, limited in size to 5Mb, including but not limited to .mov, .avi, .mp3, .wav, .rm, .ram, .wmp, .zip, rar are permissible but sites using these file types will be monitored, and if Bettapages deems necessary 4 and 7 above will apply. Any files over 5MB in size are not allowed on our servers. Failure to adhere to this may result to suspension of your site with no prior warning.

16.) Bettapages is not responsible for any interruption of service, and accepts no liability for any loss of services, sales or any other form of loss.

17.) Occasional discounts apply only to new orders and is non redeemable for renewals.

18.) Any website that has a usage limit over 5Gb will not be backed up automatically. Files include but are not limited to email, mysql databases, web files etc. If you require your site to be backed up, please contact our Sales Department for pricing.

19.) Bettapages reserves the right to terminate any accounts, at any time, where the user has made unreasonable or inappropriate use of any of the services supplied to the customer by Bettapages, as deemed by our staff.

20.) If domain names are not renewed within a specified time of 2 weeks after expiry, then Bettapages cannot be held responsible for the loss of any domain name which has expired and been been purchased by a third party.

21.) Any contracts that started before August 2009 and upgrade after will need to pay the additional fee for what the base plan now costs.

22.) Usernames are set automatically for hosting accounts. If you wish to have an alternative username, then you will need to pay an admin charge of £5 + VAT. Please note that although you can register domain names for other people under your account, if you do not require a username to contain your name, then you will need to set the account up in your clients name under their own account login.

23.) Bettapages offer a pop3 incoming mailservice. For pop3 services all domains hosted with us are required to use their ISP SMTP servers to send email. Bettapages do not offer a SMTP service and cannot be held responsible for emails that cannot be sent via this method.Although using your domain name as the SMTP server will work, it can be blocked by some servers as spam due to customers using this server to forward on spam to their existing email accounts and then complaining.

The use of your ISP SMTP server will combat this, or you could always use a service such as

24.) By purchasing hosting services from Bettapages you agree to receive periodic marketing material, including but not limited to email campaigns, newsletters, direct mail and telephone calls. These are for the sole purpose of keeping you up to date with Bettapages’ latest news, special offers, promotions and service enhancements. You are free to opt-out of any of these communications at any time you should wish. In each email you receive from us, there will be a link to unsubscribe. Your privacy is very important to us – please read our Privacy Policy.

25.) By purchasing a Bettapages service, you are aware and agree that any refund that needs to be made to your account, due to overpayment, payments taken in error and 60 day money back guarantee payments can take upto 30 days to appear in your account once you have provided Bettapages with your transaction auth code.

26.) All upgrades are automated. It is the customers responsibility to make sure that they have purchased the correct upgrade as Bettapages will be unaware of any incorrect upgrades. If a mistake has been made, then please contact the sales team as they will be able to help rectify the issue.

27.) Reseller Invoicing: All invoices are made yearly irrespective if you have a monthly or yearly reseller plan. If you require a monthly invoice, then there is a £1.50 admin charge as these are created manually.

28) All conditions, terms, representations and warranties relating to the Services supplied under this Agreement, whether imposed by statute or operation of law or otherwise, that are not expressly stated in these terms and conditions including, without limitation, the implied warranty of satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby excluded;

28.1) Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence;

28.2) Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Services shall be limited to the charges paid by you in respect of the Services which are the subject of any such claim;

28.3) In any event no claim shall be brought unless you have notified us of the claim within one year of it arising;

28.4) In no event shall we be liable to you for any loss of business, contracts, profits or anticipated savings or for any other indirect or consequential or economic loss whatsoever;

29) You are solely responsible for ensuring the Services are renewed. WE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY IN CONNECTION WITH THE RENEWAL OR ANY ATTEMPT TO RENEW THE SERVICES AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY FAILURE OR ERRORS IN RENEWING OR ATTEMPTING TO RENEW THE SERVICES. The foregoing limitation of liability is in addition to any other limitations of liability set forth in this Agreement. All invoices are sent via email and it is your responsibility to keep your email address up to date. Bettapages cannot be held responsible for invoices being sent to the wrong email address.

29.1) Please note that your account area is for reference only. To be entirely sure of when your domains expire, please check and it is down to the customer to make sure that the dates within their account correspond to the correct renewal date as shown on

This is because that in many areas, hosting accounts are downgraded and domains that are transfered in have different renewal dates.

29.2) All UK domain names could have different renewal dates to your hosting expiry date due to transfers, purchasing the name before hosting or changing the name mid way through a hosting term. It is down to the client to make sure that Nominet ( have an upto date email address for your domain name, as you will be emailed by them if your domain name is out of sync with your hosting. All UK domain names will be renewed free of charge by Bettapages as long as thier hosting is up to date.

All the client would need to do if they receive an email from Nominet is forward it into us on and we will renew it for you as part of your hosting plan.

29.3)In regard to non UK domain names, once a renewal is paid for, your domain name will be renewed free of charge providing that the domain name has not entered redemption due to the customer renewing the hosting account late. If the domain name has expired before the hosting has been renewed, then the customer is liable to pay the fee applied by the registrar of £90 + VAT

29.4) Please make sure that all unwanted orders are cancelled from within your account area, otherwise you account could be suspended until that order is cancelled.

30.) Service Guarantees: guarantees 99.9% network uptime and server stability. This, however, does not refer to problems stemming from:

Server Hardware Breakdown;

User error(s) or purposeful interruption(s) of the user service (e.g. if the client shuts his/her own server down, is not responsible for the downtime);

Failure due to software that is not explicitly supported by If a hardware crash provoked by the customer consequently occurs, is beyond the control and responsibility for the resulting downtime.

These terms do not effect your UK statutary rights
